Become a ReachOut Volunteer and change a young person's life

Become a ReachOut Volunteer and change a young person’s life.
Mentoring charity, ReachOut, run a series of projects across Oldham working with
secondary aged students (aged 11-16 years) helping them with their school work but
also to build character and confidence, and to raise their career aspirations.

ReachOut needs volunteers to give just 1 hour a week to become mentors where you’ll
work together on academic school work and character exercises, you’ll be a positive
role model to the young person helping them to achieve their goals.

Mentoring with ReachOut allows you to make a difference, take on a new challenge
and give back to the community!

A one-off, fun, face to face training session is provided to all volunteers so you feel
prepared and confident ahead of starting your project. You’ll be supported by your
project leader and the ReachOut team throughout your journey with us.
Projects run for 30 weeks from October to June and all we ask is that you can spare just
one hour a week and are committed, enthusiastic and positive.

If you’d like to join the ReachOut team, visit our website, fill
in the form and we’ll be in touch with the next steps of completing a DBS check and
references, and letting you choose your project!

Reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed.
